30 Days of Touchdown: Gain Grounding Day 11
Day 11 Challenge:
Thank yourself for getting yourself through nearly two weeks of sensory overload. I know that I have been more distracted than any other time this year.
Be appreciative of your efforts and know that every moment is open to being how you want it to be. If the morning goes badly, you still have mid-morning, early afternoon, mid-afternoon, afternoon…to go well; even the eleventh hour is available, and typically an hour of magical happenings.
So, instead of beating yourself up for the cell phone ticket you got, you can think of all the times you did and should’ve been ticketed for it, and be ok with it (true story). Don’t bash yourself for the extra weight you put on. Now, you have a resolution for the new year (another true story). No need to fret over what financial craziness is happening. There is still time and many-a-way to handle this all before the year is done (come on, now).
Be grateful that you are bringing yourself out of bed every morning in the cold. Thank yourself for staying grounded and avoiding any frantic frenzy or rage taking place. Self-high five for YOU, the person that does the best they can in any given situation.
Tell yourself at least one thing you’re appreciative of every morning or every night. Attempt to make it at the same time every day so that it becomes a habit to be thankful for who you are for you. Speaking to yourself in the mirror is best with self-affirmations. You can say things like:
“I am thankful that I am resourceful.”
“I’m so glad that I think before I react, which keeps earning me on a smooth touchdown.”
“I am grateful that my optimism and keepin’ it real had an awesome baby that I live my life with. Screw negativity - that kid sucks.”
And, there you have it. You are affirming that you are appreciative of what you are accomplishing. If it’s not your reality at the moment, you will make it your reality because you are awesome like that.
Do this daily! This is great for your current mood and/or to set up your day or your sleep. Stay positive about yourself and how you’re handling things. If the current moment is not going so well, you still got the next moment, and the next moment, and the next moment… Be the best you in every moment possible and THANK YOURSELF for the choice to do so.
