Be the Most Wonderful KIND of the Year
Gotta keep it real; this Mindful Monday just got away from me - it was my niece’s birthday and I don’t regret it - I love her! Happy Birthday, my Lil' LAM.
Alright! Here it is, folks; one week away from the moment that is a culmination for some of you in a day, others in a week, and some of you will just get started in a week, and so on, and so forth; there’s a lot riding in this one week. This is the time to focus most of all.
For this week, you will think of the true meaning of all of these holidays, which is to be loving, giving, and understanding. This is the time of year where you forgive. This is the time where your world is not the focus. This is the time when you don’t get lost in your madness and are able to focus on being giving and available to others in a way you can’t always be. DO THAT.
If things at work are getting crazy for you, help someone else out. If you see someone in need, don’t avert your eyes; ask if they would like your assistance.
Volunteer to do something to focus on the greater good, the better for the whole of the group/company. If you always do this, YOU are awesome.
YES, you should focus on you and getting you taken care of. A BALANCE of doing that for others to is how THRIVING takes place. Be kind to anyone no matter what religion, class, ethnic background, culture, gender, creed…think of your hiring policies - don’t discriminate. Be generous with your kindness, especially with those on your team at your home away from home.
